Reduce Overall Fear And Pain During Pregnancy and Birth. How?

Can you envision a birth free of fear? I know it may seem impossible.

The more you lean into understanding the normal process of pregnancy, labor, and birth, the happier you will feel and the LESS fearful you will be. ⠀⠀⠀ When you feel fear - you naturally tense your muscles - this creates more pain and confirms the fear.

Then the cycle repeats.

⠀⠀ Breaking the cycle is how you navigate the intense sensations of labor and birth.

Aim to release tension between contractions - letting it allllll go (lower your shoulders, relax the space between your eyebrows, open your jaw, consciously relax your pelvic floor).

This works with or without an epidural. This works in your day-to-day life. This works right now as you are scrolling through social media. ⠀⠀ Being aware of how your body responds in certain situations will help you handle each situation with more ease and confidence. ⠀⠀ Sometimes with pain, you just have to be prepared to sit with it. Sit with the uncomfortable. Notice your heart rate, your breath, your muscles and then consciously release the tension and focus on your breath...focus inward.

Remind yourself that this is temporary - you are capable and strong.

Whatever is uncomfortable, it is temporary and it will end.

Take fear out of childbirth! Here is how..⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

  1. Increase education about the normal processes of giving birth⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

  2. Focus on relaxation between contractions⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

  3. Focus on comfort measures during labor⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This will help reduce your overall fear and pain during pregnancy and birth.
